At Joist Africa this process begins with preliminary design followed by feasibility studies/analyses then flow sheeting which uses the appropriate combination of any of the following processes:
- Physical Processes – includes floatation, decantation, screening, sedimentation, comminution, filtration, centrifugal separation;
- Chemical Processes – includes PH adjustment, coagulation and flocculation, precipitation, oxidation and reduction, scale and corrosion inhibition, chemical solution dosing, disinfection by chlorination, ozonation, UV-radiation, ;
- Biological Processes – includes
- Aerobic fixed film processes (e.g. trickling filters, rotating biological contactors-RBC, fluidised beds, biological aerated filters-BAF)
